G.I. Joe

G.I. Joe is a series of military-themed plastic action figures created in 1964 and produced by Hasbro. Stanley Weston submits the idea of a line of "military-themed dolls" to Donald Levine, the director of Hasbro. The collection started with G.I. Joe, then two years later, following the growing success, Hasbro decided to include new members, coming from all branches of the military.
