Welcome to Fakir's world, Parisian painter animated by the Japanese folklore and culture that transcends through his productions: illustration, painting, art toys creation... Influenced by the cartoons and video games of our sweet 80's and 90's, he discovers the manga culture that will punctuate his current work with references like Akira, Amer Béton or Afro Samurai. Passionate, he founded Fakir Design in 2008. Alternating creations and customs Fakir has established itself on the scene of designer toys thanks the perfection of his hand-made paintings with stunning precision.
Proof is with this Gojira custom, Godzilla Japanese name, ultimate monster of Japanese cinema that highlights the kaiju style in 1954. Created by Tomoyuki Tanaka, Godzilla had no less than thirty cinematographic interpretation since then, it was not surprising that the creators of art toys are interested. Fakir strives to this custom by taking a 1000% Bearbrick and paint a black base before highlighting the details with shots of ice blue and shades of gray. From the height of its 28", Gojira required 61 hours of work and is sold with an helicopter as accessory.
