Welcome to Fakir's world, Parisian painter animated by the Japanese folklore and culture that transcends through his productions: illustration, painting, art toys creation... Influenced by the cartoons and video games of our sweet 80's and 90's, he discovers the manga culture that will punctuate his current work with references like Akira, Amer Béton or Afro Samurai. Passionate, he founded Fakir Design in 2008. Alternating creations and customs Fakir has established itself on the scene of designer toys thanks to the perfection of his hand-made paintings with stunning precision.
We told you, the inspiration of Fakir takes root in a lot of aesthetics, including that one of the clip Nightcall, the song of Kavinsky, highlighting Drive by Nicolas Winding Refn released in 2011. From the movement synthwave, Nighcall's visual codes radiate until Teddy Boy made with a 1000% Bearbrick. Between black accented lines, saturated colors and amazing details, this 28" custom realised in 53 hours of work, has enough to immerse yourself in a retro atmosphere. All you have to do is put on your own Teddy jacket...
