Welcome to Fakir's world, Parisian painter animated by the Japanese folklore and culture that transcends through his productions: illustration, painting, art toys creation... Influenced by the cartoons and video games of our sweet 80's and 90's, he discovers the manga culture that will punctuate his current work with references like Akira, Amer Béton or Afro Samurai. Passionate, he founded Fakir Design in 2008. Alternating creations and customs Fakir has established itself on the scene of designer toys thanks to the perfection of his hand-made paintings with stunning precision.
For this new custom, Fakir took over toy named Specimen #72 from the artist Jermain Rogers and transported it to an Asian universe with ease. Dullard bear, Specimen #72 becomes a kind of samurai who finds himself in the middle of a fight. Well, we spoil you, he gets hurt. It's precisely this moment that Fakir wanted to paint with this custom rich in accessories such as the kimono made by a seamstress or saber that his character has unfortunately planted in the belly. This 10" figurine which required 8 hours of work will remind you some cult scenes of samurai.
