Welcome to Fakir's world, Parisian painter animated by the Japanese folklore and culture that transcends through his productions: illustration, painting, art toys creation... Influenced by the cartoons and video games of our sweet 80's and 90's, he discovers the manga culture that will punctuate his current work with references like Akira, Amer Béton or Afro Samurai. Passionate, he founded Fakir Design in 2008. Alternating creations and customs Fakir has established itself on the scene of designer toys thanks to the perfection of his hand-made paintings with stunning precision.
True fan of Akira by Katsuhiro Ōtomo, Fakir wanted to pay tribute to one of his favorite mangas, real source of inspiration. For the 30 years of this 80's/90's masterpiece, Fakir has embarked on an ambitious custom from Jermaine Rogers' specimen #72. Named Specimen No. 887 this custom picks up the markers of the famous character Tetsuo from Akira with this famous sentence written in the back of his jacket "Good for health / bad for education" (" Good for Health / Bad for Education "). It took no less than 21 hours of work to Fakir to arrive at this result more than bluffing !
