One way to show 2020 strength: creativity.
2020 is difficult, full of pitfalls, contradictions and terribly confusing and yet past the astonishment, many artists have given themselves the challenge of drawing something positive out of it. This is the case with Nicolas Giraud aka 100Taur. The multidisciplinary artist from Toulouse continues to explore with passion the themes of mythology or nature through works that borrow as well from urban art, drawing as sculpture... creating a kind of bridge between classic art, street art and contemporary art. But how do you show your work when the lock down are damaging ? He answers the question with an immersive, intimate and virtual exhibition called Ad Astra Per Aspera; and all without leaving your home !
Meaning "To the stars through difficulties" or "By arduous paths to the stars", in the artist's own words, Ad Astra Per Aspera was launched on Saturday, December 19 at 4 p.m. allowing anyone to enter the universe of 100Taur by going directly to its site. In the program ? A visit of his workshop in 360° in augmented reality, with the possibility of showing all the details, some highlighted via points, but also a visit of his gallery with larger and staged works. Making visible what could no longer be temporarily, such is the challenge of this exhibition. With paintings, installations and sculptures, made since the first day of lock down, access the art of 100Taur, otherwise.
