Here is a masterpiece !
This is a beautiful Bearbrick, again produced with the technique of water printing (or transfer in aqueous environment), taken from a work of New York artist Phil Frost.
Phil Frost is a contemporary American painter and installation artist with roots in the graffiti movement. Brightly colored letter forms and masks cover his anarchic surfaces. “My work is a continuum,” Frost has said. “It is created with gestural movement and daily inflections picked up along the way. I make use of my environment like this and log passage.” Born in 1973 in Jamestown, NY, he is a self-taught artist who uses a variety of mediums, including ink, spray paint, oils, and gouache.
He produces mixed-media paintings, works on paper, and installations of found objects—including baseball bats and barn doors—that pulse with energy. His aesthetic is as mixed as the materials with which he works and reflects his keen sense of design.
In a series of recent works, Frost layers lacey, white, abstract patterns over intricate backgrounds that feature images of African mask-like faces, scribbled words, and passages of vibrant color. In 2016, the snowboard company Burton released a special series of apparel and equipment, designed with graphics by Frost. He currently lives and works in New York, NY.
