Kids See Ghosts, the brilliant project of Takashi Murakami, Kanye West and Kid C
If the name of the trailer necessarily tells us something, nothing prepared us for the small visual bomb gently swung by Kid Cudi, bringing together Kanye West and Takashi Murakami; yeah just that. And this collaboration might seem trivial but it's not: Kids See Ghosts is the name of the duo formed by Kid Cudi and Kanye West since 2018. They have also released an eponymous album. As for Takashi Muramaki, we know he is very close to the stars but we know he is very close to Kanye West and the duo, since he had already produced the cover of their album. It was therefore obvious to see him taking care of this completely crazy animation project that will remind you of certain things.
The trailer shows two characters Kanye Bear and Kid Fox. Kanye Bear is not at his first try because he was already in the Good Morning clip of Kanye West in 2009. So we follow the adventures of this amazing duo who will discover a world it don't imagine. Punctuated by the pop colors and forms so specific to Takashi Murakami's work, Kid See Ghosts also has the merit of being voice dubbed by Kanye West and Kid Cudi themselves and of having a sound design orchestrated by William J. Sullivan and Scott Mescudi aka Kid Cudi. No more details for now so watch the social networks of the main interested parties, no doubt that the news will quickly fall.
