Need a reminder ?
The Bearbrick Series
Medicom Toy is a Japanese company founded in 1996 by Tatsuhiko Akashi. It specializes in producing licensed toys (Star Wars, Marvel, the Rolling Stones) and toys in collaboration with artist foundations such as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Made of ABS plastic, the Bearbrick has a unique shape, with only its design changing depending on the projects, whether they are by artists, companies, or brands.
There are different sizes of Bearbrick, represented by percentages. The basic Bearbrick measures 70 mm, which is 100%, but it also exists in other formats: 50% (keychains), 200% (145 mm), 400% (280 mm) and 1000% (700 mm).

There are 2 Bearbrick series per year: the summer collection and the winter collection.
All Bearbrick editions are limited, and it is rare for them to be reissued.
Each series includes 4 different types of designs: Basic, Artist, Secret, and Standard. Within the Standard, recurring themes include Jellybean, Pattern, Flag, Horror, SF, Cute, Animal, and Hero.

Each 100% series includes several figures in different themes (but repeated across each series).
Besides the “basics”, which are single-color figures featuring one letter of Bearbrick (nine figures placed side by side form the brand), original models are created by contemporary artists and designers who collaborate with Medicom Toy.

All series are sold in blind boxes (Blind box), so that lucky buyers can only know what they get when opening the box. Each box contains one figure, making it quite difficult to complete a full collection. This partly explains the fascination and success of Bearbrick. The boxes are presented in a display containing 24 boxes.

Basic
No introduction needed! This “basic” features the famous B, the first letter of Bearbrick. Its simplicity is its charm, and it looks even better next to its 8 similar figures! Ready to try to assemble the full brand name?

JellyBean
"Ramune"
For this series, the JellyBean dressed up as ramune, the famous essential Japanese lemonade. This drink is mainly consumed during matsuri, Shintō religious festivals where Shintō followers honor the Japanese deities.
Did you know that the word "ramune", pronounced /lamune/, comes from the English word "lemonade"?

Pattern
"Waterfalls"
Being a mountainous and humid country, Japan has thousands of waterfalls throughout the archipelago. The waterfalls have a real spiritual dimension and symbolize different things in Shintoism and Buddhism, which is why shrines or torii are often found nearby. Their beauty has inspired many artists, who made them the subjects of various works, including ukiyo-e, haiku, and waka.

Flag
"Monaco"
Second smallest country in the world after the Vatican, Monaco is known for its luxury and prestigious events such as the Monaco Grand Prix and the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters. Its casinos, 5-star hotels, yachts, restaurants, and luxury real estate make the Principality extremely wealthy.
However, despite its density, making it the most densely populated country per square kilometer, nearly 20% of Monaco consists of landscaped green spaces in addition to the ecological policies applied. This is what makes Monaco such a beautiful country.

Horror
"Megan" - M3GAN 2.0
After the chaos caused by the first M3GAN doll, a new generation of artificial intelligence emerges. Presented as more advanced and better controlled, it promises to revolutionize the relationship between humans and machines. But very quickly, the line between protection and threat becomes blurred, and those who created it must face the consequences of their invention.
Don’t worry, this Bearbrick is completely harmless! (At least, I think...)

SF
"Sam Porter Bridges" - Death Stranding 2
Sam Porter Bridges returns as a weary yet still essential traveler in the fragile balance of the post-cataclysmic world. Between his attachment to Lou, the child he protects, and the heavy responsibility of reconnecting the survivors, Sam embodies a reluctant hero: solitary, marked by past wounds, yet ready to face the unknown once again. The SF Bearbrick in this collection honors this highly respected character.

Cute
"John" - Osamu Goods
The illustrator Osamu Harada, creator of the Osamu Goods product line, has been recognized for having a major influence on "kawaii" culture in Japan. Launched in 1976, his products were extremely popular among young Japanese teenage girls until the 1990s. John is one of the iconic characters of Osamu Goods and is often accompanied by his sister Jill. Together, they form the duo "Jack and Jill," inspired by the Anglo-Saxon nursery rhyme of the same name.

Animal
"Monchhichi"
Monchhichi is a famous Japanese doll created in 1974 by the company Sekiguchi. Representing a small plush monkey with a soft, expressive face, it is distinguished by its thumb that the character can suck, enhancing its endearing and comforting appeal. Becoming an icon of kawaii culture, Monchhichi achieved international success, leading to figurines, interactive toys, animated series, and a wide range of merchandise.

Hero
"Blossom" - The Powerpuff Girls
Blossom is one of the three main heroines of the animated series The Powerpuff Girls, created by Craig McCracken and officially aired on Cartoon Network in 1998. She is easily recognizable by her pink dress and large red bow. Representing the calm strength and intelligence of the trio, Blossom is often the leader who makes strategic decisions and guides her sisters, Bubbles and Buttercup, in their missions to protect Townsville from villains.

Artist
"AMOK"
amok is a Japanese brand founded in 2015 by designer Yuki Oshima, known for its experimental approach to menswear. Its concept revolves around reinterpreting the classics: deconstructing the "good old" to transform it through original techniques such as embroidery, docking, or remake. amok's style is distinguished by hybrid silhouettes, meticulous details, and bold graphic touches, blending tradition and modernity. This is clearly visible on this new Bearbrick, with its patchwork-like features.

"Hide" - hide with Spread Beaver
Born Hideto Matsumoto, hide is one of the pioneers of visual kei, a mix of glam, metal, punk, and goth. Known for being part of the band X Japan, he also pursued parallel solo projects under the name hide with Spread Beaver, with Spread Beaver being the backing band that supported him for his projects.

"Furby"
Ah, the Furbys... Those little interactive toys whose commercials ran between episodes of our favorite cartoons. With this collaboration, Medicom Toy and Hasbro celebrate one of the first Furby models, the Baby Pink Furby, sold between 1998 and 2001 – enough to bring back your fondest childhood memories.

"Young-hee" - Squid Game 3
New season, new games, new Bearbrick!
To mark the third season of the Korean drama Squid Game, this Bearbrick features the new outfit of the deadly doll Young-Hee, itself inspired by a mascot from 1970s Korean schoolbooks. After her appearance in the first game "One, Two, Three, Sun," she left a strong impression with her innocent appearance contrasting her menacing function.

"Bring Me The Horizon"
Bring Me The Horizon, or BMTH, is a British metal band. Formed in 2000, the song that truly brought them to a wide audience was "Can You Feel My Heart," released in 2013 from the album Sempiternal. Led by singer Oliver Sykes, the band is known for its evolving style: they started in a very metalcore/deathcore register before gradually incorporating more melodic, electronic, pop, and alternative elements.
