The Office spin-off?
Originally designed as a spin-off of The Office, in which a failing Dundler Mifflin photocopier was to land in the small town of Pawnee, Parks & Rec will eventually take its independence despite many similarities such as the mockumentary style or the presence of Rashida Jones.
The characters
Of Leslie Knope, a bureaucrat who (far too much) cares about public service, Ron Swanson, Libertarian forcefully and bugger through the ridiculous (but very funny) Andy Dwyer, Parks and Rec is above all colorful characters. Notable difference with The Office, the series is much less cruel with its characters and revels much less in discomfort.
A pioneering cast
