Venusdea (New Artpop Label) & Mekaneko by Matteo de Longis

Please Welcome Venusdea "The Artpop Label by Barbara Canepa". The designer and screenwriter of Sky.doll presents his new project to us: a division between comics and art, for projects between graphic book and figurine of figurine design. Preferred laboratory for a number of designers and artists from illustration, photo, design or painting, Venusdea promises to be a rich and exciting artistic initiative. The artists of the label come from the four corners of the world and their graphic background is very contemporary (pop surrealism/lowbrow, illustration and European street art, manga "new pop" ...). The first artists who will leave projects at VD are Junko Mizuno, Nicoletta Ceccoli, Ciou, Lilidoll. And as the label wants to do things well, each project is entirely designed by the artist himself: the latter chooses and decides everything, from content to format, and materials used to the packaging. The first project whose release is imminent is Mekaneko by Matteo de Longis. Matteo is a young Italian designer who collaborated with Barbara on Sky.Doll Spaceship, he is also the regular graphic designer of the Venusdea label. Its graphic universe is influenced by the traditional Japanese manga but with a very European touch and sensitivity. His line is bright and the effects he breathes into his illustrations give a new dimension to his work and his characters. His mascot is therefore this very charming mechanical kitten coming from the future, soberly entitled Mekaneko. This character articulated with soft and round shapes is therefore the main actor of the first outing of Venusdea. Several versions will come out, starting with a version Acid Black and a version White Pearl which are revealed below. And to celebrate the birth of Mekaneko, Matteo de Longis will exhibit at Artoyz from Thursday, November 26 His creations around the Mekaneko universe on original and unpublished supports. In addition to that a dozen figurine customs will be presented. The artists who participated are Akiza, Candy Bird, B. Canepa, Ithinkp, Ciou, Lilidoll, Lostfish, Marmotte Veronique Meignaud, Maya Mihindou And Alessandro Barbucci. Each of these versions will be accompanied by a 24 -page booklet, a sticker board in order to customize your Mekaneko. The figurine measures approximately 13cm and the pretty translucent box is a 15cm cube.
