Asian Designers

Find here the toys and figurines designed by Asian designers. These adult toys are produced by artists from a variety of backgrounds and are considered works of art in their own right. They are often available in limited editions.

It was in Asia that the first Art toys appeared in the 90s. Hong Kong and Japanese artists such as Michael Lau and Eric So are the precursors of this movement. From 1999 to 2004, Hong Kong will experience the golden age of what will be called "HK vinyl". Many artists and producers will then collaborate to offer an alternative to the figurine of derivative products.

As for Japan, figurative representation takes over, with a culture rich in characters and legends.
