Takashi Murakami : Stepping on the Tail of Rainbows

Takashi Murakami was born in Tokyo in 1962, he studied at the National University of Fine Arts and Music in Tokyo. Murakami has an easily recognizable universe, pushing the boundaries between contemporary art and illustration. This book focuses on one of the most important works of Murakami's career, named Stepping on the Tail of a Rainbow. It is an introduction to Murakami's practice, representing 12 works from Murakami's extensive collection. There are sculptures, paintings and drawings by the artist, made in the early 2000s until today. With the participation of Ed Schad, photographs and archival documents are brought together in the book.
