Roa - Codex

ROA - CODEX is the first monograph of the Belgian Street Artist Roa, of international renown. Going from one continent to another, this book examines the colossal monochrome murals of animals that have won the world renown of ROA. As A contemporary animal, ROA portrays its characteristic animals by sometimes using dynamic compositions, sometimes still lifes of several immobile animals stacked on each other, humans seem alienated. Roa draws up an obsessive picture of the fate of many animals, but its "pieces" are also an ode to the animal kingdom. His numerous trips have enabled him to study local animal species, and the expertise he has thus acquired appears through his work.
