It also highlights messages on political and social problems, which are always relevant. The symbolic work and often in charge of the artist had a real impact on the artistic scene of the New York of the 1980s. His career suddenly ended at his death, at the age of 27, but Basquiat left a Huge heritage that continues to fascinate and influence modern art.
He traces his inspiration from cartoons, childish drawings and advertising as well as his Haitian and Puerto Rican heritage. By mixing signs, shapes and colors, he manages to transmit strong and meaningful messages.
