Artoyz presents Chatan. A resin piece entirely hand -made by Our teams and in our premises at the heart of Paris. After 20 years of passion, it is a consecration for ARTOYZ to add hand production to its areas of expertise. We celebrate this new activity with A collaboration between Ludovilk Myers and our Artoyz Handcraft label giving birth to Catan, a strong room and ultra limited. This collaboration is very important to us because it celebrates the Very strong link between Ludovilk Myers and Artoyz that has been going on since almost 20 years old !

The idea of a 7 -headed cat comes from the artist Ludovilk Myers!

2003 Birth of Artoyz, launch of the Artoyz.com website with payment by check only. 5 years later birth of Artoyz Originals, with our first steps in production. 2022 Birth of Golem Our second label dedicated to production with the first Mark Ryden outings. 2024 will mark a major turning point in our history with the birth of Artoyz Handcraft and our first project The Chatan signed Ludovilk Myers.
Artoyz Handcraft is our new label dedicated to 100% made in Paris 18 and 100% production made in our workshop. This slightly crazy bet had been vegetable for a few years in our minds that are always adventurous even after 20 years. We tried to take over a famous Norman workshop 10 years ago without success. The project had always stayed in a corner of our head. Make made in France, be able to produce on demand in a minimum of time with a complete control of the production process and materials.
During the summer we therefore launch the work to build a workshop in our 18th century premises. At the end of September the work is completed. The first project appears obvious: the catan of Ludovilk Myers. Why obvious? Because we love and follow the job of the gentleman since his beginnings but also because Ludovink Myers is the family, first DA of Artoyz almost 20 years ago, and because also the project was sleeping in the Cartons for a while because too complicated too expensive to achieve with our usual partners.
The defined project, it was now necessary to get started, bring out the 3D file designed at the time by Adam our old modeler. Rework the file with Victor our new modeler. Make errors, tame materials, silicone, resin, paint, glue, magnets, lead to 10 complete prints in two months ... and decide to start all over again. Remove 3D, work day and night to catch up with lost time, put back new masters and relaunch production as you can discover it today!
We hope you appreciate Chatan as much as we liked to do it with our hands. Each piece contains joys, sorrows, laughter, cries and a lot of love for this new job that we discovered 3 months ago.
And keep in mind that you now have a piece apart from the story of Artoyz!
