Description
Here is the complete collection of the Shotgun Seamstress fanzine. It all started in 2006 when Osa Atoe asserted herself as the first woman of color on the Punk scene. Shotgun Seamstress was intended for Black Punks and written by them, to allow collective action and to develop their music. The various copies were distributed in the street and each edition included information, interviews and portraits of artists representing freedom of expression. With these books, their culture is highlighted and personalities like Poly Styrene and Mick Collins are present.
With hundreds of images from the eight issues created between 2006 and 2016, we discover the evolution of this fanzine in these 388 pages. The original texts and layouts are taken over to make the immersion as complete as possible.
