Invader Prints on paper (second edition)

To understand Invader, you have to know Space Invader, the 1978 Shoot ?em up that revolutionized the arcade whether in Japan or the West.

The principle is simple, you control a laser cannon moving on a horizontal plane which fights against aliens which descend irremediably on planet earth. The invasion is inevitable no matter what, arcade obliges, and the land will be colonized whether one is a great gamer or a layman.

Let us return to France, in 1996 precisely. Franck Slama, a former fine arts student in Paris, begins "The Invasion" near the Place de la Bastille. More than 20 years later, 3,962 Space invaders are considered to populate 79 cities around the world.

Invader Prints on Paper does not focus on the artist?s urban work, but on his works on paper which were presented in an exhibition at the International Center for Graphic Arts in Lubiana.
