Description
Kissing Coppers is a work by street artist Banksy dated 2004. Painted on the wall of the "Prince Albert pub" in Brighton, it shows two kissing male police officers dressed in their official uniforms. Besides the plastic beauty of the work, its location is also interesting. Indeed, Brighton is a city considered as the LGBT capital of the United Kingdom with each year the biggest pride of the country.
Regularly ransacked by disrespectful homophobes (pleonasm), the work was removed and then replaced by a reproduction in 2008. Following this, the owner of the Pub sold the original at auction for $575,000, thus triggering a debate that still takes place today: is the sale of street-art compatible with street-art?
Mighty Jaxx and Brandalised are now offering you a replica of this work in the form of a 10" (25.4 cm) tall figurine so you can admire it from all angles.
