Born in 1986 in India, Rithika Merchant lives between Bombay and Barcelona. Practicing watercolour, collage and folding, she draws from the sources of Indian tribal art, Mughal miniatures, botanical illustration or even 17th century popular art to create syncretic images around the fundamental concepts mythology and traditional stories.
