At Artoyz Music is omnipresent : In our Parisian offices as in our stocks. So much so that we produce figurines ourselves according to our favorites! A recent example? Kavinsky, Ambassador of the "French Touch", on the occasion of the release of his album reborn (2022).

Punk never dies, proof:
In the mid -1970s in the USA, Australia, and in England, the groundswell Punk Shakes the rock that fits into and gets kissing. Groups like Sweeping, THE Sex pistols Or The Saints impose a rabid sound, short songs and addictions ... devastating! Punk music gives birth to A brutal visual aesthetic made of collages, torn letters, aggressive colors, then used by contemporary artists (declined with us in the form of stickers !).
If the general public retained the name of Peter Saville, the artistic director who developed the aesthetics of punk for the New Wave movement (Joy Division, New Order) and fashion designers (Jil Sander, Yohji Yamamoto, Dior etc.), the book Punk 45 New edition offers a striking graphic dive in the punk movement, with 400 illustrations of the most striking album covers :
English music remains forever marked by the shock of the sex pistols, but The United States is not outdone, and the Californians Super7 know this well. New visual identities are born, like the one -oriented comic The descends (Everything Sucks, 1996, Epitaph Records), heirs of The Misfits which won in the United States in 1977 and will be reborn from its ashes in 1995. Miscits transformed punk into horror movie with their famous mascot "Crimson Ghost", to which Super7 pays tribute with essential figurines. Their sinister and diabolical look has paved the way for countless Hardcore and metal groups !
Metal: the meaning of the show
Metal sound, It is Distortion of the guitar, with a place of honor reserved for the bass. Born in the mid -1970s at the same time as punk, the metal relies on amplification, harmony and melody. Groups like Black Sabbath, Or Led Zeppelin emerge, all of them impose themselves in their Guitar and low solos. Hip hop don’t stop!
Large boxes of batteries and riffs of electric guitars also resonate for hip hop In Artoyz stocks ! THE Rock sound innovations have deeply transformed the movement born in the South Bronx in New York of the 70s. Proof in image with the clip iconic Sabotage of Beastie Boys (1994) by Spike Jonze, and the figurines Super7 by Nathan Wind, Vic Folvari and Alasondro Alegre, their fictitious characters caricatures of the police series of the 70s such as “Starsky & Hutch”:
The collaboration between the Beastie Boys and the Spike Jonze marked the spirits and the artists themselves so much that she gave birth to this magnificent book At the 200 illustrations, published at Rizzoli New York.
Back to fundamentals? Place to Public Enemy : the kings of hip hop from Long Island are declined in 4 figurines by Presspop : Chuck D, Flavor Flav, Professor Griff and Terminator X. Figurines and packaging were drawn by Ed Piskor, the author of Hip Hop Family Tree, the legendary comic book series.
Another cult group from the East Coast, brought up to date by series Wu-Tang: An American Saga (Hulu, 2019): the Wu-Tang Clan. Led in 1992 by the Rza, the brilliant composer and producer Inspired by Motown and Soul sound from the 60s, the group is still active despite the death in 2004 of one of its founders: Ol'dirty bastard aka odb to which Super7 pays tribute with this figurine as crazy as the rapper's mythical smile:
