Ai Weiwei

Born in Beijing on August 28, 1957, Ai Weiwei is a multi-faceted Chinese artist, combining the roles of sculptor, photographer, globetrotter, architect, exhibition organizer, blogger and activist.

By fusing elements of East and West, and establishing a connection between the past and the new, he redefines the foundations of the Ready-Made of the early 20th century with a new and singular artistic approach.
