Soul Jazz Books

Soul Jazz Records Publishing or Soul Jazz Books is the book publishing company of Soul Jazz Records, the prestigious British label specialising in mainly roots music compilation albums. The label began its activities in the 1990s by publishing music compilations mainly related to black music (from reggae to jazz, dub, funk, soul music and rocksteady).

It has since broadened its field of activity and has published compilations of post-punk (in particular the three volumes of the New York Noise compilation, dedicated to New York no wave), electronic music and world music. Soul Jazz also has a partnership with the legendary Jamaican label Studio One, which has enabled it to release numerous compilations of legendary old tracks emblematic of Jamaican music.
