Hebru Brantley, born in Chicago in 1981, is a contemporary artist present in different fields such as art, fashion and music. Influenced by pop, street-art and Japanese culture, Hebru is the very example of versatility. He got his start as a graffiti artist, with depictions of his famous character "Flyboy". By using many painting techniques, he stands out and makes a name for himself on a scene where street-art pioneers like Kaws and Keith Haring are already making an impression. Through his work, he represents African-American youth and denounces the inequalities experienced.
His creations are very successful, he is recognized internationally and finds himself exhibiting in London, San Francisco and even in Switzerland. He also collaborates with major fashion players like A Bathing Ape, Billionaire Boys Club and Adidas Originals. Through this book, we discover the work of Hebru, presented in two distinct parts. His various works and paintings are given pride of place, along with a discovery of all of his streetwear collaborations.
