Description
Henk Schiffmacher, a tattoo artist from the Netherlands, is considered by his peers as a genius artist, but also as a tattoo historian. Having tattooed Kurt Cobain, members of the Red hot Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam, and even Lemmy from Motörhead, the man has acquired a solid reputation over the years and has always worked to promote the discovery of tattooing and its origins.
He will therefore, throughout this work, take us into the history of tattooing, from the 1730s with the appearance, or at least the discovery, of this art until 1970. To tell the story of these more than 200 years of history, he will present to us various historical documents, but also several pieces from his private collection.
An outstanding storyteller, he will guide you throughout the 440 pages of this copious volume limited to 10,000 numbered copies.
