Tom Eckersley (1914-1997) was an English poster artist and design teacher. He was among those who pushed graphic design forward in Britain, with technical innovations and a complete overhaul of style.
As a graphic designer and poster artist, he was at the forefront of the explosion of print culture in Britain in the 20th century. He is famous for his brightly colored posters, conveying a message simply and effectively. The artist, given his talent, has collaborated with the BBC, the Ministry of Information, the post office, or even Gilette.
